For the past 13 years, the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce has offered a Youth Leadership program for tenth-grade students residing in Colleyville, Grapevine or attending school in the GCISD.  We are privileged to host another exciting year of empowering today’s youth with tools essential to career growth and development.  You can be a part of this stimulating series and challenge yourself with life changing experiences!

The Youth Leadership program is designed to develop leadership skills and a sense of community and provide you with the keys to personal and professional success.  During the four-month course you will learn about personality profiling and career assessment, local government, economic responsibility, media and communications, and arts and culture.

Youth Leadership Orientation will be Monday, September 20, 2010 from 6:00 -7:00pm at Crown of Life Lutheran Church.

The Youth Leadership program will kick off with a mandatory half-day ropes course on Saturday, October 2nd from 10am-6pm.  This course gives you the opportunity to get to know your fellow classmates and learn to work as a team.  The ropes course consists of cables, logs, platforms, ropes, games and activities that offer participants both a physical and mental challenge.

Youth Leadership meets once a month from October – January from 6 – 9 pm.  In addition, each of you will select a community project to complete as a group.  Tuition for the program is $200.00 payable in full upon acceptance into the program.
