Transportation Coordinator

Responsible for the daily activities related to the Mid-Cities Care Corps’ Transportation programs and connected administrative functions in the office.  Specifically, oversee and manage all Transportation scheduling. This position will also work directly with other Program Coordinator(s) to cover responsibilities as needed.

  • BS or BA from an accredited university in public relations, journalism, communication, English or business preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with good organization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Desire and patience to work with senior citizens
  • Flexible
Hours: 20 hours. Core hours are 8:30 - 12:30 Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
  • Focal point for managing the Transportation Program
    • Coordinate weekly coverage of volunteers to assist with answering phones and handling client requests
    • Communicate and assign drives with volunteer drivers
    • Communicate other program requests to designated Program Coordinator(s)
    • Take part in Volunteer recognition
    • Process new client intake forms and make the necessary entries into the MCCC database
    •  
    • Assist with daily office responsibilities:
      • Off-hour phone/email messages received
      • Handling of mail (email and snail-mail)
      • Logging donations/other entries into the MCCC database
      • Other office responsibilities as needed
    • Monitor and order transportation supplies with appointed Staff approval
    • Maintain the MCCC database and hard files for accuracy of data supporting clients, volunteers, sponsors, board members and supporters
    • Work with other Program Coordinator(s) to cover other core program responsibilities as needed
    • Other Duties as assigned
