Ministry Development Coordinator (On-site only)


Position Overview

The Ministry Development Coordinator position is an exciting and vital role here at ICR. In this role you will be tasked with making ICR and the ICR Discovery Center known by initiating contact with pastors, church leaders, education leaders, and Christian school administrators and meeting with them. Your mission is to sell ICR to DFW! To excel in this role you must be outgoing, organized, detail-oriented, comfortable meeting new people, have the ability to communicate well, and be able to manage a busy schedule. It is necessary for you to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of ICR, including the history of the organization, our tenets & mission statement, as well as what we have to offer the public. The ICR Discovery Center will be the primary focus of your promoting efforts. Both excellent discernment and creative, problem-solving skills are essential to being successful. Knowing your way around the DFW metroplex is vital as you meet with church leaders, school staff, and homeschool groups.
 

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop new relationships with a desire to connect them to ICR and the ICR Discovery Center
  • Communicate the message and mission of ICR effectively with potential new guests and members
  • Thoughtfully and regularly communicate the progress of ongoing efforts with management
  • Exhibit personal integrity & responsibility
  • Schedule and organize meetings throughout the week & month
  • Support growth and development of groups and new members to the ICR Discovery Center


Other Skills/Abilities/Necessities

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a leading by example approach
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to follow dress code and maintain a highly professional appearance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Engage with all group activities and special events at the Discovery Center


Qualifications

  • Written testimony of salvation
  • Knowledge and acceptance of ICR core principles and mission statement
  • A personable, friendly, and hospitable demeanor are a must
  • Experience with outside sales or customer development and a heart for people
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • This is a full-time position which may include some evenings and weekends, flexibility is key
