Judge Burgess began his career in the United States Air Force as an attorney in the Jag Corps. Following seven years of military service\, Judge Burgess became a federal prosecutor\, both in Sherman and Fort Worth\, Texas. While in the Fort Worth United States Attorney's Office\, Judge Burgess prosecuted the Southlake cartel murder case\, which will be the subject of his talk.
