Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator

General Description:
Responsible for Mid-Cities Care Corps (MCCC) activities related to fundraising and marketing. The position will lead all fundraising efforts while working directly with committees and staff in support of those events, oversee social media and other marketing areas and assist the Executive Director with community obligations.

Supervision:

  • Reports to Executive Director
  • Coordinates and directs activities to cover all aspects of fundraising
  • Leads marketing efforts
Qualifications:
  • BS or BA from an accredited university in marketing, journalism, communication, or business preferred
  • Minimum two years of fundraising experience
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple projects
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Proficient with social media (facebook, twitter, etc.)
Hours: 20 hours/week dictated by fundraising events (up to 30 hours during February, September, and October as needed), and to cover community obligations.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and project manage MCCC fundraising campaigns and events:
    •  Annual Festival of Friends gala
    • Annual “Friends” – Benevon campaign
    •  North Texas Day of Giving
    •  Annual Golf Tournament
    •  Other fundraising as determined
  • Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
  • Assist with brainstorming and creating new methods to raise funds for MCCC to meet or surpass budget targets
  • Donor care and maintenance (key records and strategic communications)
  •  Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events
  • Leverage social media to target audiences to improve fundraising activities
  • Assist Executive Director in support of community obligations as needed
  • Represent MCCC at designated Chamber memberships and community network opportunities that support MCCC objectives
