Colleyville "State of the City"
The annual State of the City meeting will be held Thursday,Jan. 26, at Colleyville Center, 5301 Riverwalk Drive.
Designed as a one-stop information resource for residents, the State of the City will be preceded by an open house with displays about city projects, activities, and departments, as well as displays and information provided by Colleyville community groups.
The open house begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by the State of the City at 7:00 p.m. A review of the past year and a look at some of the city’s future initiatives will kick off the State of the City program, with an emphasis on issues, projects, and developments that have had an impact on the city during the past year, as well as a look at the year ahead.
Typical topics are the city budget and sustainable government, economic development, capital improvement projects and city infrastructure, urban drilling and the ordinances governing their operation within the city, and public safety statistics and initiatives. The Colleyville City Council and city staff will be available to talk with citizens and answer questions during the public Q&A session that will follow the formal presentation. The meeting will be taped and, while the location does not allow the meeting to be streamed live, it will be available within days of the meeting on webcast at Colleyville.com.
