About Us
At Embracing Hope Counseling, we help individuals who are successful in many areas of their lives, but feel disconnected, stuck, or frustrated in their relationships - or weighed down by the impact of painful memories. Our team offers compassionate, trauma-informed therapy — with training in EMDR and a deep understanding of how past emotional wounds affect present relationships. Together, we’ll help you get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck and guide you toward healing and healthier connections. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
What's EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a proven therapy model that helps you process difficult past experiences that have never fully resolved and still show up as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, painful memories, or negative beliefs about yourself. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones) to help your brain reprocess these experiences in a new way, similar to how your mind sorts and integrates information during REM sleep. Most people describe EMDR as an experience that finally allows things to shift in ways talk therapy alone hasn't been able to.
Relationship counseling for individuals?
Yes! It can be helpful when you want to improve your relationship but your partner or spouse is not open to couples counseling, when you want help healing from a break-up or divorce, or when you want to work through any personal issues so they no longer impact current or future relationships.
You can find peace again — in your mind, your body, and your life.
