Colleyville Garden Club will be hosting a ceremony to re-dedicate its Blue Star Memorial By-Way Marker and celebrate Veterans Day on November 11, 2020 at 9:30 am. The celebration will be held near the log barns at McPherson Park, 240 West McDonwell School Road in Colleyville. The Blue Star Memorial By-way Marker was originally installed at Sparger Park in Colleyville with a dedication ceremony on May 19, 2006, and was recently moved to McPherson Park. It honors all men and women who serve or have served in the United States Armed Services. The Blue Star Program was started in 1944 and adopted by National Garden Clubs in 1945 in tribute to our Armed Forces. The public is invited to attend. The program will last about 30 minutes and will not be rescheduled in the case of inclement weather.
