Mark Lucas-Kelly is part of the Lucas Family, a sixth generation funeral home family with roots in Grapevine, TX dating back to the late 1850’s and Fort Worth as of 1929. Mark returned to Texas a few years ago after living in the Western United States for 23 years, including a brief stint across the country in Vermont. Before returning to the family business Mark taught public school history, govt. and coached mock trial, managed two public radio stations, helped build a world class resort in Moab, UT, ran a major University Student Newspaper in Seattle, WA and was an actor in L.A. along with a few other endeavors. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
Currently Mark directs marketing efforts and community outreach for Lucas, Robertson Mueller Harper and Blessing Funeral Homes and is a Celebrant for family’s with no church affiliation, or family member ‘s who can officiate their loved ones funeral or memorial service. Celebrating a life is the most rewarding part of Mark’s daily walk.
